I was born in a small town in west central Ohio in 1983, and I have lived in Ohio, Rhode Island, New York, and Indiana so far in my life.

I attended the State University of New York at Binghamton from Autumn 2001 through Autumn 2003, where I studied classical Greek language and literature. In 2004 I transferred to The Ohio State University. After many hours of film, literature, and pop culture studies courses, I graduated with a B.A. in English in 2007.

I have worked as a cashier, an office drone, a writing tutor, a teaching assistant, and an SAT tutor. Generally, I work for the weekend, but don’t tell my boss.

Presently, I live in rural Ohio. In my spare time, I read a lot of sci-fi, romance, and horror novels. I also enjoy superhero comics. I am a vegetarian, a secular humanist, and a feminist. I am also quite fond of baseball.
